We’re recruiting for a Social Media Advisor to join the Not Another Social team!

Less than 9 months ago, I (Ben) slid into Sophia Hilton’s DM’s and started chatting about her then upcoming Social Media Event for hairdressers. 3 phone calls later, we’d set up Not Another Social. I left my job as Marketing Manager for Jamie Oliver and began building the infrastructure for what is now the world’s first Branding and Social Media consultancy for Hairdressers.

Fast forward to now, and we are working with hairdressers from around the world; advising them on how to create content, define their identity in the social world and provide them with a supportive and collaborative community to grow their brand and social media knowledge.

Our aim is to stop hairdressers handing over their business social media agencies and being charged high monthly fees for scheduling their content. Our mission is to put the control back into the hands of the hairdressrs providing them with training, guidance and a framework to do it themselves - at an affordable price point. We are the salon’s guru, their cheerleader and their friend.

Not Another Social is working. Fact. And now with over 100 clients now on our waiting list, we are so excited to be able to employ a new full time Social Media Advisor to join our team! You’ll run your own roster of clients and create educational content to train hairdressers from around the world on how to effectively and creatively develop their brand and social media profiles.

  • You’ll provide bespoke, tailor made advice for your clients, offering support, solutions and ideas on how to grow their brand identity and develop your clients into social media gurus

  • You’ll create, film and edit How To videos, guideline documents and How To manuals for clients to help them understand branding, how to use social media platforms and develop creative content for their profiles

  • Support in the planning, execution and delivery of social media training courses in partnership with Not Another Academy

  • You’ll be responsible for researching changes in the social media industry and communicating this to clients and making the information relatable to the hair industry

  • You’ll provide daily maintenance of the private members group and evaluate all activity and prepare performance monthly reports for senior management

  • You will also have the chance to be part of the other Not Another brands, and will help develop and publish engaging content for the Not Another Salon and Not Another Academy social media profiles


  • Strong knowledge of working in a social media, branding or communications role

  • Experience in the hair industry is preferred, but all applicants must have a love and understanding of basic hair knowledge

  • Proven experience liaising with clients or vendors on a regular basis

  • Experience of operating/managing social channels

  • Track record of producing and distributing engaging social media content

  • High knowledge of all social media platforms

  • Strong knowledge of the Adobe suite (Photoshop is a must)

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once and able to prioritise a varied workload

  • IT literate (Gmail and Google Drive preferred)

  • Experience with filming and editing video content (Screenflow, iMovie or Adobe Premier are preferred)

  • Exemplary spoken & written English and comfortable writing copy
